Bought for someone with tinnitus and they work really well at cancelling traffic noise.
Bought these headphones (NC-40) as they were a good price and active noise cancelling. They work really well in a fairly loud office, giving some peace and quiet to concentrate :)
Super fast delivery, I have tested the head phones and they work fine. Please don't compare them with £260 BOSE phones. But for £40 they will do for me when I am on long distance flights.
Have been using these for over a week now, used in an open plan office to drown out chatter and a/c noise. I have also recently been using a non-branded set of n/c headphones from an online retailer (7dayshop). so similar price point. Sound quality I prefer of these but they seem more susceptible to mobile phone interference, the way these fold is nice but the soft storage case is inferior to the the hardcases as have to take more care stuffing into bags.
I never usually recommend anything because different people have different expectations. However, I had already bought this product and was delighted with the quality and service so I bought another for a friend who couldn't bring herself to spend 300 quid on the, so called, top of the range brand. She is delighted too!
I bought these to use with my Roland electronic drum kit as previous purchases could not handle the bass drum. They are great, handling the bass drum and bass tom tom with clarity. I've not tested the noise reduction yet but will be using them flying later in the year. Thanks Lindy for great gear at a very reasonable price.
The noise cancelling headphones are comfortable & seem very effective. They had a good review in Computer Active & I agree with it. The servbice & delivery were very prompt. Very happy with them
Paying such a small amount for a pair of noise cancelling headphones I did not hold my breath as to the quality of them. To say I am amazed would be an understatement. They are fantastic value! I ordered a set of noise cancellation headphones from website mistakenly clicked on older model. Rang postmaster next day they changed order straight away still arriving next day, in time to take on a long haul flight to China. These headphones are awesome everybody i gave a demo to wanted them. My work colleague and i saw a pair of sendheiser active noise cancellation in Shanghai duty free for £300.00 madness you cannot beat the value and performance of these cans.

My husband bought a Lindy noise cancelling headset prior to our last holiday, we were so impressed that I have since then bought one for me and ditched my Bose headset. The sound quality is excellent for music and the spoken word, the unit is well built and the delivery speedy. Excellent*****
The headphones are very good value for money. Sturdy and does the job. Good sound quality but nothing exceptional, so if you're after blow-me-out-of-the-water kind of listening experience this 1 won't be for you.
I currently have a Bose QC15 which is very good but decided to buy a cheaper set of noise cancelling headphones mainly for making flights more bearable. In comparing them directly, at home, there is no doubt that the Bose unit is more effective than the Lindy unit. To be fair there is a price difference of nearly £200 and perhaps the next test, which is long haul to Mexico, may justify or not, that price difference. The Lindy unit seems to be robust enough, the main improvement for me would be the inclusion or option of a hard carrying case instead of the soft carring case provided. I am happy with the purchase and the delivery arrangements via Royal Mail and would recommend Lindy as a supplier.
I bought a pair of Lindy Noise Cancelling Headphones for me back in 2010 to emigrate to Australia with. Have used them a great deal over there and then let my wife use them on the way back to the UK last week. I have now bought a second pair for her on the way back to Aus!! Ordered late afternoon and arrived the next day at 09:00. Great product, fast delivery have and will use them again.
After product burned in for a period of time, the treble cleaned up very nicely and the bass bloomed. For the price paid, these are an excellent set of headphones. Noise cancelling effect not as expected, but adequate Would recommend
Lets put these headphones in perspective at £40 pounds they are cheap so you could take the view they are not much good but you would be wrong. I was pleasantly surprised when I received them, Nice looking fairly well made and they work. Sound isn't as good as my Bose earbuds but at half the price very acceptable so if you are looking for a half decent pair of N/C headphones get them you wont be disappointed apart from the ridiculous length of the lead. I know they are cheap but what is the cost of an extra metre of cable.
Really surprised at the quality of this product for the money. Really light weight to wear and excellent sound quality. Would highly recommend this product.
