Well thought out head set with beautiful acoustic sound, pleasing on the ears, great value for money, easy to fold with its own travel bag. One of the best easy on the pocket purchases I have had. Truly amazing noise reduction throwing around quality surround sounds in your ears. One of thee best buys of 2012 for me.......
I like the Boooster On Headphones as my hearing is not great, and the Lindy pair that i have are the best so far. I received another pair (NOT LINDY) that were sent straight back as when i turned the power boost on by the battery switch there was a very loud buzz that was over the c.d Music and my Keyboard playing. The Lindy Head Phones get 9/10 from me as when you turn on the booster there is a very slight noise that is covered by the music played.
I received my headphones ,the day after I placed my order, very impressive ! They are comfortable to wear and the case is convenient for carrying. I was a little disappointed that I could still hear the car radio, when I was trying to listen to an audio book. This was the main reason for buying them. Also if using them with Sky Go on my iPad the sound goes out of sync, in fact distorted if you with the noise reduction mode!
I purchased the noise cancelling headphones specifically for long haul flights. The headphones arrived within 3 days and have been a great success. The background aircraft noise was reduced considerably but more importantly the sound of crying babies and other people's airline supplied headsets was cancelled, leaving me to enjoy the inflight entertainment at a normal volume level without distractions. Really pleased with my purchase and the very efficient service from Lindy.
These Lindy noise cancelling headphones work a treat, there are a few of things to bear in mind though :1. Due to closed back design, your ears will get a little warm, but this is not specifically just these headphones, all closed back headphones in my opinion suffer from this.2. The headband (for me) is a little tight, and can feel like your heads in a vice !!3. For some reason i get feedback when plugged into my Sony Vaio laptop and the active cancelling is on (Only on the Sony, iPad, Blackberry, etc.. are all OK)However in the context of spending £40 on active noise cancelling headphones, they are hard to beat, i borrowed my brother-in-laws Sony MDR NC7 noise cancelling headphones on a recent trip to Israel, and the Lindys performed better, greater range, better isolation, and more sensitive, meaning my iPad went a little louder. My daily headphones are Grado 325i's a true audiophile listen, So if the Lindy's perform well enough for me to not complain at the sound quality, then hey, they must be a steal !
make regular long haul flights and find that the in-cabin noise can be very tiring. I therefore decided to obtain some noise cancelling headphones. My search criteria was effectiveness to eliminate surrounding noise, good Hi-Fi sound when listening to my mp3 player, they must be light weight and of reasonable cost. Having researched on-line, the LINDY active noise cancelling headphones came highly recommended and my decison was made. I made my purchase on line direct with LINDY. The purchase process was easy and the supplier's communication excellent. The 'phones were well packaged and arrived next morning by secure mail. I am very pleased with my purchase. They are comfortable and light on the head and light to carry in the pouch supplied. They give a great sound. The 'phones met my criteria entirely and I would highly recommend them. I have praised them so much that I now have to buy my wife a pair!
Hi Just been on a flight to Marseille and the Noise Cancelling Earphones I bought on line with Lindy worked a treat Thankyou
he folding noise cancelling headphones work well, but not fully tested on a plane or other noisy environment yet. Good sound but the head phones are a bit too tight around the head to be very comfortable for a long period of time in continuous use which is what I wanted for a long haul flight. The large ear pads give good sound insulation and being soft are OK for a short period (maybe up to 30 mins or so). They work with or without the noise cancelling swithed on, well made, like the single sided cable and the extra plug converters being included. They fold OK but being full sized ear pads they are too big to carry in a normal coat pocket. There are a good compromise betwen realyy expensive sets that are virtually no better and the cheap ones that fold into a very small space but have less good sound. 8/1/12
Just taken delivery of the Noise Cancelling Headphones. I must say that they are a great deal for the price, when other noise cancelling headphones cost upwards of £100!They are very comfortable to wear and offer what I would call good musical representation when connected to my iPod. The short cable is a bonus for me as I don't want loads of cable trailing around, if you wanted a longer cable then there are plenty of extensions available for just a few pounds. The headphones come with a carry bag, an in-flight jack adapter and a full size headphone jack adapter, plus battery for the noise cancelling circuit. The noise cancelling works very well, and eliminates most background noise, allowing you to focus on the music. They don't completely get rid of higher frequencies, so you just about could hear if the phone rang for example, or you can just hear the radio during silent gaps in the music.I think these headphones are a real deal for the money, very happy with my purchase, although I haven't tried them yet on a long journey.
I have used high end Bose noise cancelling head phones in the past but wanted my own set with out spending out the money. After doing my research I opted for the Lindy set at £40. Ordered them in the afternoon and they were on my doorstep before 8am the next day.I was really pleasantly surprised, they really work, and really much better than I though they would. Not at good as the £275 bose but then the bose are not 6+ times better.+ Effective noise cancelling, sounds good to my ears, amplified. - Top padding on head band is soft but not not lambs wool soft and being folicly challenged it took a while to get used to it. Ears got a little hot due to the closed cup but this I presume is normal for closed cup.Conclusion. They actually work and worth many times more than £40.
I looked on their web site, chose the noise cancelling head phones, placed the order and they arrived the next day. They were excellent value for money and the quality of them is amazing and the sound is out of this world, need to be tried to be believed. A very satisfied customer indeed.
Order process was easy and the product was delivered within a week. The noise cancelling headphones I ordered do not completely block out all sound but for the price I think they are very good. I didn't want to spend £200 on headphones, so for £40 these ones do the job for me and will make my long flight a lot more peaceful.
I received my noise cancelling headphones just over a week ago and I am very pleased with them. They certainly reduce extraneous noise quite a lot and should be good on a flight. The sound quality is excellent and I will be buying a second pair for my wife. The only criticism i have is that they are rather tight on my ears - and I have not got a large head!
These Lindy headphones are better than I thought for the price asked. the quality of sound is very good indeed, and they are they are Noise Cancelling as well, a great product, I am very pleased with them, and I would certainly recomend them.
These headphones are excellent value for money, no point spending double the money , you won't get double the performance. I can recommend them.
I wanted to order these noise cancelling headphones before Christmas but they are obviously so popular that Lindy had sold out. When eventually back in stock, Lindy, as always, delivered promply and billed efficiently. The product is very good value for money and works well. Perhaps not as good as my colleague's £200+ Bose model but what do you expect for the price? My wife used them on the nine hour flights to and from the Carribean and found them extremely good, both with music and without music.
Lindy noise canceling headphones are an astonishing bargain. They are not as comfortable or clear as the leading Dr Dre or Bose models, but then at a mere 14% of the price, who can complain? If you are seeking high end sound quality, then these are probably not the headphones for you. But neither are any other noise canceling models. Spend £300 on a pair of Grados and a similar amount on a headphone amp and be blown away. They are for comfortable use in noisy environments like planes, the commute to work or when mowing the lawn, and in these environments they excel, in my view, cutting out even more noise than the Dr Dre model. In some ways they are even better than the leading, much more expensive Bose models. I particularly like the folding mechanism. Really compact and ideal for travel. The cushions also look quite durable to me. Some people moan about the length of the cord. It is easily replaced with a longer one, and, I reiterate, these are not monitor models for use in a quiet chair opposite your hi fi. They are for use out and about. Unless you are over 12 feet tall, this is unlikely to cause you any problems, in fact it is a welcome bonus.
Searched for some sound cancelling ear phones and was directed to the Lindy website. The reviews were positive and prolific so I went ahead and ordered and the earphones arrived by return. They work so I am looking forward to my next plane flight! Very good value and much cheaper than other equivalents. Thanks
I recently purchased a pair of Lindy noise cancelling headphones, I am really delighted with them ,the sound quality is excellent, I have been looking for some for months and continually comparing sound quality to my Bose in ear headphones {not noise cancellers}. The Lindys are spot on just need a little treble boost using the equaliser setting on I-pods. Unlike most larger headphones they are easily driven by an I-pod and get good bass response at lower volume levels, great with all types of music.
